my 1 year rawanniversary is today. I have learned so much on this journey.

This is the day I found out I had PCOS... well no problems with menstrual cycle anymore, since going raw. I also had pain in my ovaries from cyst, no more pain.

I also dealt with my throat being mostly closed day in and out, no more of that.

I was diagnosed with mild asthma, I never take a pump ever, feel great and can breathe

My shyness is gone, the real Tanisha has arrived.

Most of all when people ask me how I am doing I can say I feel great

These are only a few of my problems I had, I feel great

One of the greatest things I've learned is to love myself, because if I love myself I would never do any harm to me. I am not perfect but I try day in and day out to make positive loving deposits into me. Meaning good food, good thoughts and so fourth.

I've released over 50lbs raw and a total of 75lbs... Yay Went from size 28 shirt to 14 shirt and I can fit into 12s but my hips make that harder. I also went from size 28 pants to 18-22. I can fit 18 and zip them but my hips make it look weird so I wear 20s or 22.

In a couple weeks I'll update with pictures. I had some pictures taken but lost everything in a recent hard drive failure so I am working on pictures.

Also, when you wrote this, it really resonated with me, this is exactly what God's teaching me right now...

He's been showing me that because He loves me, & my daughter loves me, & others love me, it hurts Him, & them when I do harm to myself by poor eating & not being active enough to stay healthy, & that when I allow Him to heal me through what HE gave us for food, rather than the world's poor imitation, then I'm showing Him how thankful I am for the life He's given me...& THEN I'm showing my daughter how much I love our life together!...& that's teaching her to not develop self-destructive ways, & that looking after our temples of the Holy Spirit is an act of worship & thanksgiving!

Everytime I look at the before picture I ask myself how did I let it happen, but I've learned so much since then. I can't wait to reach my goal weight, I wonder what I'd look like then.

ShantiDass, thank you as well. It has helped so much with PCOS, In the beginning I was drinking 1 glass of Green Smoothie a day and then I up'd my intake to 32oz + most days and really saw a difference.

So Happy for you! This is my First Week raw and I hope to be as happy and feelign as good in a year. This site has so many greats stories like yours. Great job! I am including some strength training to speed up my weight loss.

Kinsey1000 - I recently started to incorporate strength training. I bet it will excelerate things but of course if I were you I'd stay away from the scale. I
