My sister in law raves about it and I'm dying to take a class!

I've done it a few times and know people that LOVE it, however, I didn't like the heat. I felt drained tired afterwards. It's worth a try, you may be one of the many who LOVE it! Have fun.

I did it for about a month until I was told by my acupuncturist not too because my blood needed the stuff I was getting rid off... not sure I buy that knowing what I know now... but anyway that's a whole other story. Point being, I loved it!! I'm thinking of going back to it. I never knew I could sweat that much and the feeling afterwards was soooo exhilerating!!!
Highly recommend it!!
Just give it a try! Can't hurt!!

I do it and I love it. The high you get after the class is awesome. Make sure you drink a lot of water the day of and before- esp the first time. And sometimes I will bring coconut water with me, you will sweat a lot and some people drink vitamin water and other crap for teh electrolytes, but coconut water is the raw foodist gatorade!

I concur with Freespirit. Bikram's sequence is terrific, in my opinion, and I love the heat.

A couple of hours before class, I have a banana, and I make sure I am adequately hydrated. In class, I bring water, and after class, I have coconut water to replenish electrolytes.

I'm a devotee too, although I've been remiss of late.

My uncle took me to a class twice and I loved it! Although I also really stress the importance of drinking a lot of water the night before. The first day I went I had to sit down for a few minutes in the middle of class because I felt very faint. That night, my uncle actually made me drink a large amount of water so I'd be very hydrated for when we took the class again the next morning. But like I said, I really loved it! After you come out of that hot room, you will take the most refreshing shower of your life!

Oh, Lord :p
I tried it and only was able to do 15 minutes of the class--and that's just the warm up/breathing portion! I'm EXTREMELY out of shape now, though.

I can see why people get addicted to bikram yoga! Finally went to a class. It kicked my ass, but woowee, it was amazing!! I was drenched in sweat only after the first series of breathing excercises! I can't wait to go back!
