Ok.. so I think I've narrowed it down to an Omega masticating juicer or a Champion... can anyone recommend one or the other?

YOU are soooooooooo welcome! :D Glad I make you smile!
I've had a Champion and now have an omega. I have to admit I like the Omega 8003 more than the Champion.

how did you do that ? for most people the choice narrows down to Omega Vert versus Green Star Elite ...
with juicers it is critical to consider yield. a juicer with low yield in the long run will be very expensive no matter how low the sticker price. in terms of yield the top performers seem to be:
1 - norwalk juicer
2 - angel juicer
3 - green star elite
4 - single auger juicers ( Omega 8004 & Vert )
for somebody with limited income i would recommend the green star elite as being the lowest cost long term option once you take into account the cost of produce. it's what i use, but its a pain in the ass.
if money is less of an issue i would recommend omega vert as being much easier to use but still having decent yield.
i can't really think of a reason to get the champion unless you want to make something other than juice with it?
would be really curious to hear out your logic ...
