I thought for sure the Champion juices wheatgrass so I've been scouring Craig's List to try to get an affordable one... and now I just read something that said it could NOT do wheatgrass AND that it heats up the juice?? suddenly the fabulous juicer doesn't seem so fabulous?
I saw that Aleesha juices wheatgrass with a vita-mix... i have a blendtec, can I juice wheatgrass with that?
I had a Waring Pro, and it was great (actually my mom is using it now) but did not do wheatgrass. I used a small, manual Healthy Juicer for that OR my Vitamix (then strained in a colander). So, the VM would pulverize it, then I'd remove the pulp.
For the most part, I only used the Healthy Juicer when I was on a short fast where I was taking off from work OR on a lazy weekend day. Those things are great and small but slow; you can buy it for less than $50 usually.
I KNOW there are juicers that will do it all, and I would think the Champion would be one of them, but I guess not!

I have used the Omega 8003 for over a year... juices about everything and does nut butter too. I love the 2 minute clean up!

My aunt has the magic bullet. I've only used that a few times but have found it very good for making juices and smoothies.

there's no way a magic bullet would do wheatgrass... i don't think it's powerful enough. but i could be wrong... it's happened before and i'm sure it'll happen again LOL
i'm in the process of getting myself a healthy juicer (http://www.healthyjuicer.com/) as well. they have a manual and electric model!

Just so you know... yes I make wheatgrass juice with the vita-mix and then I freeze it... using it in my pineapple juice daily. BUT... the wheatgrass juice doesn't taste as sweet and fresh as using a proper wheatgrass juicer... i think it's cause it does get a little warmed AND you have to add all the water as well.
So it totally works... (I've been adding ice to keep it cooler) but... it's not the same quality of taste IMO.

I've been juicing for 30+ years. There is no cover-everything juicer. I have 3 now, use them for different things. If I could only have one, I'd probably keep my Champion. It's been a faithful servant for over 20 years, in fact I just used it a little while ago! I like the fact, which is probably irrelevant, that it is still made in America. Plastaket, the company that introduced the Champion in 1955 (year I was born), still makes it and the family still owns the company. Even the domestic Omega juicers moved production to Korea. I have never had a breakdown on my Champion. I can still get parts for the Champion easily through Plastaket in California. For carrot/beet/radish, one of my favorites, I use an Acme, the big one that is centrifugal. I got over the oxidation issue years ago. The Acme is built like a Sherman tank, again never has broken for me in the 15 years I've had it. If I ever get into wheatgrass I'll buy a wheatgrass juicer. I don't do fruit in my juicers, if I ever wanted to get into that, I'd buy a citrus juicer.

Actually, the Green Power does do it all ~ juices everything including wheatgrass.
For a kick-butt juicer, I would go for a Champion, then get a manual juicer for wheatgrass such as the Healthy Juicer (http://revvellations.com/shopping/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=3&products_id=6&zenid=9773c333be2be96025e4145c1e45b8cb)(save on shipping). Yes, the Champion does heat the juice and it should be drunk immediately after juicing whereas one can keep juice made with the Green Power for up to 3 days (not recommended but possible).
I've not tried the Omegas but I've rarely seen anything against it/them.
