I will be travelling to a friends wedding in north east PA and then I am going to NYC for a few days. I found a website "Raw Food Restaurant Guide" that lists raw and raw friendly restaurants. There are a couple in Manhattan that look promissing, Pure Food and Wine (Raw Food Real World folks) and Quintessence. Does any body in the NY area have any other tips? I think all of the restaurants listed in PA are far away from where I will be (I'll be in Scranton and the Poccinos area).

Did you see this link? It may have more; it's a pretty good resource: http://restaurants.welikeitraw.com/guides/newyork/

Pure Food and Wine always seems to get good reviews (and I love their uncookbook!). A good friend of mine was totally unimpressed with Quintessence, but I've generally heard good things about it. Most of the restaurants have web sites where you can see the menu. :)

Pure Food & Wine is one of my favorite places!!!! I can't vouch for any other areas or places, but I love love love that one.

ALso, NYC is a pretty raw-friendly place to be. There's so many places with vegetarian/vegan options, and it's always pretty easy to find a salad that you can customize to how you like it. Plus Union Square Farmer's Market. mmm.

I was also unimpressed with quintessence, it was alright. Pure food and wine i have been to many times, it is the best one, bonobo's i visit almost everyday when classes are in session as it is just a few blocks from my school.
