I recently received a doctor's note to be able to bring food for my 18 month old to Daycare and need some really good recipes. I know he loves some Zuchini Spaghetti unfortunately, I think he is having allergies to Tomatoes. I need breakfast, lunch and a snack. Please help as to I am also new to eating Raw. Thank you for any advice you can give me.

Welcome to RFT!

I wanted to start by saying, in case you didn't know already, that most cases of asthma are due to dehydration (either not drinking enough water, or drinking dehydrating drinks like juices, coffee, tea, soda, sugar) and/or an allergy to dairy products.

Hi there,

Welcome to raw :)

Instead of tomatoes you can use a pesto or even just a bit of olive oil and some fresh veggies like fresh peas or make a sauce out of avocadoes.

I think you will find this thread very helpful: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=9872

Good luck!

Thank you for the link. It all looks great and I hope I will be able to make these. I have a couple of books that I have bought or received and it seems most of those are geared towards adults. I also get concerned with things like carrots and lettuce. He is just starting to get his larger teeth and I don't want him to choke. I will try the avacado sauce. He likes the avacados as well as the tomatoes. Also thank you for welcoming me.

Pet01,

Check out www.watercure.com. Dr. Batmanghelij (sp) has several books out on how dehydration affects ones health. Very interesting and eye opening information. I highly recommend any of his books to anyone still breathing. That is his website and there is a lot of great information there as well. Asthma can be caused by dehydration as someone already mentioned.
