I have a recipe that I'd like to make that calls for cacao nibs. I have cacao beans and I was wondering if I can make the beans into nibs?? Any raw connoisseurs out there to help?

p.s. It's for a raw brownie recipe

Peel the beans, toss them in a food processor, and process lightly for 10 seconds. They should be nibs then :) .
If you don't have a food processor, put the peeled beans in a sturdy bowl and pound them hard with a wooden or metal spoon. They break into nibs pretty quickly and easily.
