Preplan meals, prep food, ideas, support etc.
Let me know :)
thanks!!:)
Plan for day 1:
Anazing Grass drink

din salad

Now: spices i love onion and garlic powder-
Now i go to a local place -whole foods and trader joes...any must have buys there other than typical salads?
Also, when you go to lunch there, what is an OK Raw option?

Congrats on making such a wonderful decision for your health! At restaurants, I request an all veggie salad, with lemon wedges on the side (I use the lemon wedges for a dressing). Also, if I see an interesting vegetable used elsewhere on the menu, then I will ask the waiter/waitress to please add it to my salad. Usually restaurants happily comply. I've gotten some awesome salads at restaurants just by asking nicely! There have also been a few places where I've gotten pretty pathetic salads, salads with an ingredient I requested removed (like cheese) or no salad at all :( . So don't be dissappointed. Just keep a positive attitude and don't go out to a restaurant starving! Also, ALWAYS having raw snacks in your purse/car is a great way to manage hunger when you are out and about.
Wishing you all the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yup. I'm dragging the whole family raw starting Monday. I spent over 200 this week on recipe ingredients... some of that will be stuff that lasts, and about 140 of it was fruit/veggies/nuts. (Although I did find 10 lb bulk almonds today online for 5.99 a lb... will be ordering some tonight.)
My menu is a bit convoluted since I like smoothies, the kids need kid foods (and both have various food allergies that mean I can't cook the same thing for both) and David needs manly foods... blah blah.
My initial thoughts... 1) we HAVE to go simpler. There is sometimes 24 hours of prep time with this stuff... No way will that fit into our lives. 2) I need more portable foods, such as sweets. My kids love their daily cookie in their lunch box, but I can't find many foods that hold up to Texas heat. 3) I need to break myself, and the family, of the preconceived notion of what is ok for b'fast vs what is an ok food for dinner.

If you feel bad after eating it, then it is too much. At first you will probably be able to eat a lot of dried fruits and nuts. As you stay raw longer, you will have less desire for dried fruits / nuts and you will feel full on them much easier. Enjoy the ride :D .
I can ensure you that what you are eating this month will probably look completely different from what you are eating 2 months from now. And that's fine. It's a good thing. All is ebb and flow. Your body will let you know what foods it needs at what times.

Hey there,
I am going to re start over on Monday-7-14-2008-I think the key is being prepared and having food on hand-and keep it simple. Good luck to you :)

I'll join in. Is there a specified length of time we are aiming for, or just untill our lives are over, lol.
