Hi, My name is Anna.
I'm new to the raw food diet but have been reading about it for some time and slowing evolving to a much more raw diet than before. Now I wish to really go raw but I am really struggling and was hoping to meet some people who do eat this way and can help me a little bit. At the moment, I worry about a lot of things.

I worry about nutritional balance. My food keep going bad before I can eat them (it's only me eating fresh foods!). The broccoli tastes bitter, the tomatoes are bland. I'm also at loss to deal with temptations (ie pizzas at work!)

I am delighted to find this forum and hope to make friends with some of you!
Thanks,
~Anna

Hi Anna,
Nice to meet another new person to this lifestyle.. I've been reading all the information about raw and green smoothies here I could find. I'm convinced it will keep me young and healthy as well as cure me of my ills, acid reflux and being tired/sluggish all the time. :)

Welcome tasetta, its nice to see someone else from Colorado here. I just started eating raw about two weeks ago so everything is new to me too. You will find great support and information from everyone here.

Welcome tasetta,
I will be moving back to the Springs next month. I am pretty sure that there is a raw support group there. Maybe try doing a search.
Good luck,
GR

Welcome ~
Get Alissa's book and DVD and read, read , read. Maybe hit the market a few times a week to keep your produce fresh and yummy.
It helps me to plan or I over buy....I love options !! Have frozen fruits for GS ...make things up on the weekend for the week?
It's so much fun learning new recipes. I copy ones down on 5x7 index cards from here and other sites.
Enjoy~

Welcome! And sorry, I'm on the other side of the ocean but am here cheering you on!

As for the goodies you're buying but not getting through, I'm sure you'll find balance soon enough in how much to buy. Perhaps if you make recipes you can share with your family or coworkers, that will help a lot! And there are some raw pizza recipes. They're not the same, buuuut they're still good. :)
