Hi everyone,
For those of you who sprout quinoa, how long does it generally take you? I've been trying to sprout mine for 4 days now, and I still don't have any sprouts.

It takes less than a day. How long did you soak it? Is it organic and truly raw?

Weird you should ask..I just started some today for the first time.
I just drained the water after it finished soaking.
Revvell, you said it should take less than a day to sprout? Can I wait longer and have it a little bit greener too?
I suppose I should rinse it as well periodically? I'm excited to make some raw tabouli:>
Thanks for any tips,
heather

For me, quinoa is the quickest of the sprouts. Only needs a few hours soaking ~ about 4-6 if I remember correctly, then place in jar at an angle to drain/sprout. Might have sprouts by the next morning. Leave them in the light to get color (don't remember them greening yet I guess they will).

Great...I'll concoct a yummy (hopefully) tabouli with it tomorrow..I imagine it retains a good deal of crunch to it. Do you eat grains often Revvell?

Rarely. Buckwheat is about the only thing I sprout now ~ for Alissa's burger buns and some cereal. Otherwise I rarely sprout anymore.

I soaked them overnight. I guess my seeds must be no good, although they are organic and truly raw.
I've had them awhile. Funny thing is, when I first bought them, I had the same problem. I guess they must have been old when I bought them?

Possibly soaked them too long and drowned them. Try 4-6 hours and see what happens.

Yes, it seems like I may have soaked them far too long. I'll try again. Thanks for your help!

Still no luck sprouting quinoa. I only soaked them 4 hours. I guess my seeds must be old. I'll try new ones. I sure would like some quinoa sprouts!
