It's like electrical currents going off, short and sharp.
I don't have that fogging feeling that i use to have in the morning.
I've seen where the body can rejuvante itself, wouldn't that be great if it included the brain too:D
Maybe it does, when i was eating the SAD way i felt, tired, worn out when i woke in the morning, slept most all day it seemed, dull skin, dry eyes, joints hurting, etc.
Now i wake feeling like a new person everyday, joints don't hurt anymore, skin is glowing, eyes moist, it feel like a new person is being born each day:)
Anyone experience clearer thinking?

Absolutely ~ the cooked food just clogs the brain waves . Can you imagine if our politicians ate raw:D ?

From an interview with Ron Paul in The Washington Post=

"And I watch my diet pretty well. Like today I had a very big salad and a chocolate chip cookie. But I'm able to handle that. I figure, 'Well, I'll just make sure I make my exercises tonight.'

Sorry I hijacked Bethanie=)

I'd love to have my alzheimer Grandma back to see if raw could help her... And I hope it can help me as well. It has already lifted my depression and suicidal thoughts.

Not only do I feel a difference from the raw food Im eating, but also a difference from the love I am showing myself by shopping for it and preparing it.

OK, we should convert Ron Paul to raw :)

You aren't weaning off anti depressants by any chance? I did and I had lots of those brain shocks for a long time!

How long have you been raw now Bethanie?

I'm new. I go a few days completely raw, then I slip and eat something that's not and I always regret it. Then go a couple more days raw... And back and forth it goes. I'm really looking forward to successfully being 100% raw and finding the real me.

If you're struggling that hard to go raw, chances off you'd be better off either transitioning slowly or waiting a while to go 100%.

iamacranberry is right. The guilt that we sometimes place on ourselves for not being able to stick to 100% raw can be more toxic than the actual foods that we eat.

I was having this problem as well. The most that I have been 100% raw was 2 weeks. However, I noticed that when I do raw all day with just one little cooked element, then I am a much happier and healthier person. And I also tend to have more raw days in a row because I don't feel like I'm forcing myself to be 100% raw.

So I personally have decided that I'll do as much raw as possible, but I will still leave room for cooked veggies and quinoa! And I only steam the veggies, and the steaming lasts for about 20 seconds. Actually one of my favorite dishes is raw veggies over cooked quinoa.

Be gentle and versatile with yourself. It will come when the time is right. Do the best that you can and try to make it so that whenever you go outside of raw it is a conscious and positive choice, as opposed to being something out of your control.

I wish you all the best on your journey. And just know that many are in the same place as you...namely me! We'll get there slowly but surely. :D

I'd say this time about 4 months going on five.
I love eating raw and i'm still eliminating favorite foods such as dairy free cheese:D
I do slip once and awhile but i get right back on board.

Thanks for the advice. I did decide that being at 80% raw is good and not to beat myself up if I'm not consistently 100% as I'd like to be. I'm already slimming down as it is. But my goal... is to eventually be 100% - whenever I get there! lol
