I was looking through Gabriel's book for quick filling recipes and just made his magic wands. It's basically a sort of indian nut pate spread onto nori seets, dehydrated partly, then rolled and dehydrated more.
He says to put 2-3T of pate on each sheet but found I'd have to spread that absurdly thin, so I just used an amount that spread to about 1/8". It's supposed to make 15, I made 8.
I'm also not completely sure I understood, what I did was spread it accross the entire nori sheets, not just an end, is that how you're supposed to make them?
Thanks

Well I tried to eat one before they were dehydrated and it's sort of like chewing off a roll of scotch tape, it pretty much unwound lol, I still managed to eat it though, I'll wait until they are harder so they don't unwind.
Edit: I just had to throw out the recipe... (the actual sheet as I photocopy the pages from the books to not ruin the books, not the food), this HUGE flying insect just landed in front of my on the recipe sheet, so I took another sheet of paper folded up and smashed it against the huge bug on my recipe sheet! It was really big.

Never made that.....but when I make something using Nori, I usually cut it like Sushi to make it easier to eat. Nori can be messy without cutting it.
