I'm just curious as to what other people are doing in terms of an apple/walnut combination. I have a craving for it this morning but beyond slices of apple with walnut bits thrown in <g>.

Put walnuts and dates/dried apricots in your food processor. Blend to make a crust. Put the crust in a pie dish.
Peel and chop your apples and mix them with honey and cinnamon. Put the apple mixture in your walnut crust. Apple pie!

(Sorry for delay; intermittent internet access this week. ISP sending tech over next Sat as this weekend booked but responding while I can <g>.)

Hi, thanks! Yes, I realize that "almost anything" can be made with them. I'm just not that creative, however <g>.

I only had apples and walnuts and didn't have the rest, that's why the post. Thanks re the responses. I'm having to get away from dehydrated foods, actually, though may probably still be okay with dehydrating whole foods such as walnuts and apple slices, etc. It's the mixes that I've found I can't tolerate, where thing get all ground up. But some great ideas here. I did also have bananas so I can do that. I've been working a lot of overtime and pantry got really bare this week <g>. I'm going shopping later today but can now I can at least make something a bit different for when I'm on the road later today! <g> Thanks. :)
