I'm not diabetic and it's not serious and it comes and goes. I keep track of everything I juice and so far haven't really found a connection with what helps other than drinking frequently.

Carrot+Apple+Beet is starting to feel like it spikes it and I don't like how it makes me feel. Although the juice is delicious.:(

Carrot+Greens doesn't have an effect on it either way so when it's low, it doesn't help.

I've read in a juicing book that string bean juice should be good but nowhere around me carries those things right now.

Any other suggestions?

Qwerty,

I find beet juice really intense. Always gets me light-headed even when I mix it with other things. Can't imagine drinking it everyday.

Here are recipes from my juice book listed specifically for hypoglycemia (low blood sugar):

Recipe #1: Super V-7

handful of parsley
2 carrots
handful of spinach
2 tomatoes
2 celery ribs
1/2 cucumber
1/2 green bell pepper

Recipe #2: Salad in a Glass

4 parsley sprigs
3 tomatoes
1/2 green bell pepper
1/2 cucumber
1 scallon
1 lemon wedge

Recipe #3
2 medium apples/3 carrots

Recipe #4
3 celery stalks
3 medium carrots
2 burdock roots
2 garlic cloves

Other tips: Add Jerusalem Artichoke juice to all vegetable-based juices.
Dilute fruit juices with an equal amount of water. Eat frequent, smaller meals.

Personally, I find watermelon juice useful (not diluted and juiced with the rind) for bringing up blood sugar without spiking it too much.

Qwerty,

On second thought. If you have ANY blood sugar issues at all, I would avoid all fruit juices. Period. I'm no doctor though...

Thanks ebcl. I'll try some of those. :)
