who else is with me?!?!??!

i've been noticing this more so than usual. i often ask myself "am i eating too much? do i overeat? what the heck?!?!" because the people around me NEVER consume the volume of food that i do.

example:

boyfriend and i ate at whole foods yesterday and he ate two little buffalo wings, a fistful of mac-n-cheese, and a cookie. i on the other hand ate a huge box stuffed with veggies and salad, fruit, and a LOT of raw cashews. i had also eaten a few pieces of fruit and raisins before lunch, and he had eaten nothing up until that point in the day. i doubt he ate much that night either.

same thing happens at lunch at work too; i just eat eat eat so much food while other people might get a pastry or half a sandwich or something. what's funny is that i weigh less than those people yet i eat the greatest amount of food!

people are always amazed by how much i put into my mouth every day, is this the story for some of you too? i have recently been noticing it all the time!!! im not complaining, just think it's hilarious and awesome! :p

You're one of THOSE people that I'm envious of! The only way I'd be thinner is if I'd eat like a bird...no fat, and limited fruit.

you!!!! grrrrrr

:) Be thankful, and go make some raw brownies, and enjoy, for my sake!

When I first went raw (first 60 days) I ate HUGE amounts of food, but gained NO weight. I'm 5'4", 120 lbs. Healthy and slim.

My bf ate SAD food still, but combined that with a few GS a day... he lost nearly 30 lbs in the first month!!! :D

Me too! If I'm 100% raw that is. LOL :p If it's raw, I can eat it and lose if I need to lose...maintain if I've lost.

However, if I step away from raw...every bite counts or the pounds rush back to me at lightening speed.

I'm the same way too! I've noticed it more recently because I just started a summer class that's three hours a day, two days a week. I end up really hungry about half way through and need to start pulling out food to eat while no else seems to get hungry at all. If they do happen to eat, it may be a couple crackers or a granola bar whereas I'm eating maybe a full container of guacomole with a cucumber or two. What's great though is that when I was eating SAD, I had to count every little calorie or I put on the pounds quicker than I would think is possible. On raw, I can eat and eat and eat and I lose weight. So I'm going to enjoy it and try not to compare how much I'm eating to others, even though it's definitely hard to do!

first think about how many calories are in what you eat vs what they eat. you just get to eat more volume wise for the same amount of calories. it will even out. it will even out. the longer you're raw the easier it gets for your body to get nutrients out of food and you'll just need less of it. for now just enjoy all you can eat!

I used to eat a bunch when I first went raw but now I'm not hungry all that often. Doesn't seem to affect my weight whether I eat tons or just a bit (I'm underweight already) so I decided not to care and just to eat when hungry.
Maybe you'll have the same luck and it'll slow down for you? I'm happy about it b/c it's much more affordable not having to eat all day.

i know! if you think about it, one of his cookies were probably like 200 calories, and those calories were full of fat and refined sugar. my entire salad was probably 200 calories! fiber and nutrients/vitamins.

it's just so liberating to be a WOMAN in our society and know that i will never have to worry about counting calories or limiting my intake as long as i eat mostly fruits & veggies :) unlike the majority who are struggling with fad diets/working out/counting calories! ah, freedom!

yeah that is one drawback, i spend all of my money on food! i think food is my biggest expense every month - more than my car payment even! but i look at it as investing in my future.
