Hi! My name is Jihyun and I am 20 years old!

Anybody else my age? :D

I live around the seattle, lynnwood area. Anybody else who lives near there? It will be great to have a raw diet friend.

I have not started raw yet, but I am still on my Lemon Detox Diet, so I will start afterwards. I already ordered my beautiful Excalibur! and will be ordering some low cost Juicer as well. I am on day 11 of the cleanse. Plan to do for 13 days! :)

Being raw sure is expensive! But I bet the cost will be "cheaper" over time, since I will not be eating out anymore. hehe

I am currently debating which books to buy, so far I have 6 in my cart at barnes and nobles and it is up to 115 dollars! I could buy that juicer RIGHT now! lol. I do not think I will be done choosing until tomorrow morning!

Nice to meet everyone! Forums like this gives me motivation and inspiration to be healthy! I am glad I am here!

In my opinion....all you need to buy is Alissa's book and DVD. Once you've gone through the two of them, you'll have everything you need to go raw. Then you can branch out to all the other books. Alissa's book really does cover everything plus you get tons of recipes and weekly menus with grocery lists, to help you get started. The DVD shows you exactly how to make raw food and shows you how quick and easy it can be and how you can do it without having to run out and buy the very best of equipment, although later most of us do want the nicer machines but it isn't essential to start. Yeah, get Alissa's book and DVD and get started first.....then you'll know what you REALLY need or would like. I don't think you can get it at Barnes and Nobles, I think you have to order it from her website. Some people have said that they have it in their public library. WELCOME!!!

Thank you Everyone! :D :D

Jacsam: Yap I did just that! Except I did not buy her DVD I plan to buy a different one though.

I bought the book, the spiral slicer (i really want those noodles) and a milk bag.

You are right. It is better to start with something as good as Alissa (from all the recommendations I read about it) and than slowly get more books. Yay!

Thank you!
