i bought maca powder recently and have been considering picking up lucuma and mesquite powder as well. Have you really noticed a difference ?? I have heard it's made a huge difference in how some feel...... and I would love to find out more!

What differences have you noticed and how do you use the product?

Oh-- I also read somewhere about MSM. Any big fans out there, and why?

I would appreciate all the input I can get. I am thinking I want to jump right into using 'these superfoods' and hope to achieve some good results too! :)

Can you find any of these in the ethnic markets? Recently, a friend took me to an Asian market and I couldn't believe all the variety and great prices!! It was like a kid in a candy store!

Hi Sptygl,

I really feel and see a difference in myself when I take Maca, it really helps me even out my hormones.

MSM has all kinds of benefits and I do take that sometimes, I workout a lot and it really does help with inflammation and is good for your hair and skin which I notice.

Now with Lucuma and Mesquite I have tried both and noticed nothing they can make really good sweetners and flavour enhancers in recipes though! Especially if you like raw chocolate.

Hope that helps,

RS

I went to Whold Foods yesterday and bought some Maca and had it in a smoothie today. Can't wait to see the benefits.

The didnt' have Lucuma or Mesquite and the guy didn't know what they were but they are made by the same company(Navitas) so I hope they get some soon. I really want to try them.

I also bought hemp seeds and a few weeks ago bought chia seeds. Love them in my morning smoothies. Today at the gym I had so much energy.

I say try everything and see what works for you.

I just bought Maca capsules from whole foods today too... How much are you putting in your smoothie? And does it add flavor?

I bought Maca capsules from Whole Foods a few months ago to help regulate my hormones since I hadn't gotten a period for almost 2 years after getting off of birth control pills....and it's funny because at the time I didn't feel like they were doing anything. At least I didn't FEEL any differently; I didn't have more energy or anything. So I stopped taking them, but then maybe a month afterward I actually got my period again for the first time in 2 years. If it's Maca related I do not know, but I still haven't taken the capsules and I now get my period pretty regularly. Maybe the Maca kick-started my system again?

I love lucuma personally and being originally from Peru I ate it all the time when I was there. I don't know that it has any special attributes different from any other fruit but it sure is delicious and my favorite thing !
