I want to get some mason jars so I can store my nuts, etc and drink my GS's from glass, not plastic, but I have absolutely no idea where to start looking for them?? (and I'm too inpatient to order online). Does anyone have any idea what kind of store sells them? BTW -- I'm in Florida.
THX!

Try calling around to your grocery stores. I bought them at a grocery store years ago in a box (there was like 12 in a box). Good Luck.

... in the canning section. That is usually near the dishes and appliances. Good luck!

Any grocery store should have them. They're usually on the aisle with the plastic bags. If you don't see them, ask. Sometimes the stores put them in the back room until canning season. I don't know what time that is in Florida. Here is is usually late July/August/September.

IKEA has similar jars to Mason. William Sonoma does to and they are very cool looking...priceier though.
At this time of year Mason jars are usually on sale at the regular grocers because stone fruits and cukes are in season for "canning".
I don't do Wal-Mart either Sugar Snap.

I just get mine at the grocery store....they're in the canning section. Also second hand stores usually have an over abundance of them.

I always get mines at the Thrift Stores (Sencond Hand Stores). You can sometime get them by the case for about $3-$5 or .15 .25 cents a piece.:)

I keep EVERYTHING in glass jars....so I have lots of them. I pick them up at garage sales, thrift stores, second-hand shops, whereever. Every time I see them, I buy them (if the price is right). (You can never have too many!) Also, our Walmart (sorry folks) carries plastic screw-on tops for them, which I find really helpful, instead of the metal tops with the rubber ring. Like I said, I keep everything in them...nuts, dried fruit, maca, cacao powder, hemp protein powder, etc. I don't like keeping anything in plastic. They're also good to store smoothies in the refrigerator, and to carry them to work. (Just don't drop it!:(
