I have been eating about 4 bananas a day and I am wondering if it is ok to be eating so many? I know it is a crazy question, it is just that I have never eaten so much in one day. I'm also still experiencing a periodic rush of blood sensation in my right foot. Too much potassium? Is it possible?
Solarliving, I know people that eat 15-20 a day and are very healthy, active, and energetic. Maybe they have become big monkeys? Eat and enjoy!

If you want bananas, then eat bananas, you are NOT eating too much.
I too know people who eat 20 bananas a day, plus lots of other foods too.
I used to eat about 1 banana a year, and now I eat up to 2 or 3 in one sitting, with other fruit and love it.
Enjoy your monkey-hood. :o)

Cool thanks for being so helpful. You girls are great.
My latest smoothie is frozen bananas blended up with almond and coconut milk and I love it. I was just curious about the foot thing.

Many years ago, a friend gave me a diet plan that was specific for each day. I can't remember exactly what was eaten each day, but on the 4th day you could eat up to 7 bananas and milk (I think). Anyway, the first 3 days were okay, but having never been a banana lover, the 4th day was awful. After finally getting banana #4 down, I said 'enough of that diet' and quit. I can hardly get a banana down...it's like it wants to come right back up...yuck...like swallowing a goldfish ! However, I can eat them in fruit salad, a smoothie, banana bread or frozen....go figure. I can hardly stand to have my husband near me when he's eating his beloved bananas....banana breath is revolting !! And a banana kiss is doubly-revolting. Sionce the banana is the world's favorite fruit, it must be me that's weird.

CAdreamer I do remember something about that diet. I think I even tried it once. I do remember though, when it was the day to eat the bananas and milk, I made a lovely shake out of it and it was so very easy to eat/drink.
I still think the easiest way to eat several bananas is in some sort of smoothie/shake. Dr. Graham, an accomplished raw fooder has eaten 30 bananas in a sitting, but when my husband tried to go raw after going to one of Graham's lectures, he stopped after 10 days because he said the bananas were starting to make him gag, he was eating so many. Also it's a gradual thing - most people can't handle more than a couple of bananas at a time, it's something you have to build up over time.

I too love bananas. But I can't eat more than one in any one sitting in fact many times I break it in half and eat half and then the other half about an hour later. I can't even imagine having the appetite for more than 2 let alone 6 or 8 wow. You guys can really put it away.

However, I think the most bananas that I have eaten in a day has been about four.
Some for breakfast and some in my green smoothie. Other than that I can not imagine eating more than that in one day let alone one sitting. 30 bananas? Yikes.
My baby loves bananas, she could eat them for every meal. But I try to get her to eat vegetables to get the flavor of them. I dont remember eating too many bananas when I was pregnant, so how come they are her favorite foods. Who knows? :p
Happy Fourth of July to all the monkeys out there.
