View Full Version : Anyone else with a short toilet "warning time"?

Firstly I'll say that a few years ago when I was gullible enough to put my life in the hands of "doctors" (quacks) I got about a foot or so of intestines removed because I had crohn's disease. Only years later did I find the surgery was unessecary and was done only for the profit of the inhumane quacks that did that to me (they also told me I had to be poisoned with chemo daily for the rest of my life which I also did for 5 years before learning it was fraud and murder).

Anyway here's my question, I notice that when I need to go #2, I seem often have very short warning time between when I feel I need to go and when I have to go. I can't rememeber if I was like this after the surgery but before going raw, so because of this I don't know if it's the surgery or raw that's causing this, but I'm quite sure it's raw that's the cause.

Is anyone else like this? This may help me understand if it's raw food or the mutilating crime doctors commited against me a few years ago.

Also, how often do you go #2?

It's not currently a problem but I'm considering a job where I sometimes would be in a situation with no washrooms nearby and this concerns me. Are there any changes I can make to my diet that would give me more warning time? I also noticed sometimes I seem to be able to hold it for an hour or so, but other times it seems I have to go within a minute or so.

Thanks

And then in about 45 or so minutes i would have to go again.
I had started hovering over the toilet and not sitting down so the bowels would flow easier.
It really helped, it really empies the colon.
Bananas can bind some people and might help control your need to go so often but it might not do it for some people, i've heard it make some go more often.
With me it binds.

Yes, after the morning green smoothie, sometimes it's a dash to the bathroom, it suddenly becomes so urgent. It's our morning smoothie move. :)

I do have that problem. It is much better now that I know of my food allergies and avoid those things. It also used to be very unpredictable. But now for the most part I have two bowel movements at the same times every day. I don't know why I fell into such a predictable pattern, but I did. So I learned just to be in the bathroom at those times, even if I don't feel the need to go.

I might still need to go at other times of the day, but at least having two predictable times really helps and they are times when I am usually home. But then... I don't work.

I too have chrons .... I have messed myself more then a baby.
I think I am going to pass gas and oops.

I am afraid to have my BF sleep over because I don't know what the morning will be like.

I am hoping and praying raw will help me heal. I am so tired of this.

I know this wasn't much help just know others are in the same boat

Raw should be able to cure your crohn's, it's mostly caused by sugar, in fact simply eliminating sugar, grains (which are mostly sugar) and dairy (which has a lot of sugar) has been found to virtually cure almost all cases of Crohn's disease. One doctor uses these diet changes and has a 95% cure rate (compared to the 0% cure rate of drugs and surgery).

But the raw diet eliminates these things and so much more, I've spoken with a few other people like me who are now cured of crohn's with a healthy diet. I'm sure you'll be able to cure yourself too and if you have any questions feel free to ask, I did a lot of research on the subject.

Same issue for me since going raw -- but I think it's related to the cleanout from GSs for me. When I'm NOT raw, I've always "needed" coffee to keep a minimal level of concentration -- which would have the same "Oh geez gotta go now" cleanout.

Soooo, this says to me that if you are going to do the job (and perhaps you've got a similar reason behind it), have the GSs outside of work or look out to your patterns in eating to see when this happens to you. Just a thought. :)

I'm glad you asked this. I had colitis, similar to crohn's, and within a month of going raw, it was gone. Docs also wanted to do surgery on me. Thank God I said no. It ruled my life for so many years. I was afraid to be away from a bathroom, messed my pants all the time-all that lovely stuff. Anyway, now when I have to go, I have to go now! I too wondered if it had anything to do with the former disease or from eating raw. It is usually at the same time every day, so that helps. I guess it is from the raw. I will take the predictable "gotta go" over the Colitis anyday!

I would say it's from the clean out too. I have colitis and the only time since I was diagnosed with it that I haven't had problems I was 100% raw. I'm not yet, but I'm transitioning back to it. And I'm going to CHI next week to get me back on track. It does take some time for your body to transition to raw and part of that clean out is often in the bowels. There's a story about someone that doesn't have all their intestines in Alissa's before and after section.

Oh, I definitely have to watch it. Usually about 8am and about 5pm are the times I have to "make a dash". :D

It's not always predictable though, but usually it's soon after I eat a smoothie or a big fresh salad. :)

I'm always GLAD to relieve though, since I know it means my body is functioning in a HIGH RAW cleanliness. ;)

This happens to me when I drink green smoothies, so I don't have them when I know im going to be out and about. For instance today we are going to a concert and I did not have one, just fresh fruit and nuts so far

I just tried a trick this morning, I normally have to go #2 maybe 30-60 minutes after waking up, but today, as soon as I woke up I went to the washroom to try and force myself to go #2 when I didn't feel the need to. I was able to get quite a bit out which should delay my real need to go by a few hours, this should be a good trick I'll keep in mind.

Decided to chime in this interesting conversation. :D

Please, please - please... don't ever 'force' yourself to go. Straining can cause diverticulitis - and believe me, you don't want this horrid ailment!

Huh? Where did you hear that? And what do you mean by straining?

My surgeon - after I had a colon resection. Same as forcing yourself to pee time after time can cause bladder to 'drop' (add age to make it all worse, lol).

What do I mean by straining? Well - by forcing - trying to push the feces out before the body is ready...

I'd be extremely skeptical of anuthing comming out of a doctor's mouth, virtually nothing they are "taught" (falsely led to believe) is true, which is why they kill between 10,000 and 40,000 people a day and have never cured a single disease.

Don't push it out if it's not already headed out!!! :)

Regardless whether the Docs say so or not, honestly... ;)

Listen to your body and find ways to let your body take it's own course towards health... that, after all, is mostly what RAW is about. :)

P.S. Docs are good for some things. ;) They can set broken bones. *giggles*

I can understand what your saying

so glad to be fully healed of my crohns now. I spent most of my time at work in the toilet last year..no joking!! 20 odd times.. I would be off there.. started taking my bag in there so I wouldnt get bored at least!!

Only thing that really helped was simplifying my diet majorly..and not combining too much. Now I can have more elaborate things occasionally but I keep it simple most of the time..so I am not a slave to the toilet..hehe ;)

Well since at least a week the problem seems to have stopped, I'm now able to wait for significant periods of time before going after I feel it. I think it may have been the cooked rice I was eating at that time, I may try eating some again and see if it causes this issue.

As you may have seen in another of my threads the job I was considerign and am now pretty much sure I want is firefighter, I didn't want to have this sudden urge happen while on a call! But as I suspected it seems to be specific foods so I have plenty of time to learn what causes these sudden urges and avoid those foods while on the job.

Thanks
