There is another "plan" which I get a bi monthly newsletter. They have a product called "barley max", which they tell you to take about 2 or 3 times a day. Do you know if Alissa's green powder is similiar?
This other plan tells you to eat very little fruit since cancer thrives on sugar and they say fruit is sugar. The other plan seems more restrictive and has you eat 15 percent cooked foods.
I really just want someone who knows to help me understand.

15% cooked food is 15% dead food and will putrify in your system. I know who your talking about and there has been a lot of controvercy about them. Please stick with this board and you'll get all the info and support you need for staying 100% raw. Fruit is wonderfully nourishing and designed for us humans as well as other beings.

Successful cancer therapies use fruit in abundance (like the Gerson therapy) for fruit's pottasium and many vitamins. Fruit cannot possibly cause cancer. A damaged immune system "causes" cancer. Cancers may eat sugar but a healthy body will not allow cancer to grow. Fruit will help you be healthy.
I would also have a problem with a group that would moralize cooking/raw (if they do) I think we all know there are plenty of saintly people that cook and plenty of us who need spiritual work who do eat raw :-)

I know which plan you are refering to. I followed it for a while and had good results. However, I never used the Barley Max. I have gluten problems so I wasn't sure if it would cause problems with that. I later learned that it is made with the leaf and doesn't contain grain. So most people with gluten problems can use it. If I am not mistaken the 15% cooked is what you add after the initial cleansing period and/or after hopefully over coming your illness. The people I know stayed raw for at least a year. There is some controversy concerning that plan but there is controversy surrounding raw in general. None of the information I read or the classes I took moralized cooked food in the least. Infact they encourage total raw and organic if at all possible. It's just that some people do prefer some cooked foods so if that was the case their plan was to make sure and keep it to no more than 15%. I do know that when a family member had cancer they were also told to avoid sugar while recieving treatment and change of diet to help fight the cancer. There is so much conflicting information that it's difficult to get just one single answer. What works for one person may not be right for another. I personally felt better after I ate raw, mostly veggies for several months. Alissa's Green Power looks interesting. Maybe someone has used both products and can give a comparison opinion.

Thanks for the replies.
I think i'll order Alissa's green powder. From the looks of it, it seems it has more "greens" in it, and I tend to "trust" her products more....
For now, im going to follow Alissa's recommendations to eat whatever raw food you are craving and today that is CHERRIES! I got some beautiful ones today and can't wait to eat them!!!
