Help please? How long to sprout barley?

How long do I let the little "sprouts" or "tails" grow on the pot barley so as to use in Alissa's Chili recipe? Thank you for your help.:)

I haven't made that particular recipe, but I use them after they've sprouted one day - when they barely have little tails.

Depending on the temperature where you are, a day or two should do it.

due to my cold home, it took a few days to get my sprouted barley where I wanted them to be sprout-wise.
