View Full Version : A pretty good lunch!
I'm at home right now eating a pretty tasty lunch. I took one of the portabellas that I hadn't submersed in water. And on it I put some No-bean Hummus with some Marinara sauce. Plus a couple slices of cucmber from my own garden. It's messy...but, pretty darn good. I was going to eat two this way, but one is filling enough!
For dessert...some Velvet Chocolate. (recipe in one of Rawpreistess' books).

The other day I hollowed out a large tomato and put some non-bean hummus in it...yum!!

Jodi,
How did you like the "Velvet Chocolate" It is one of my favorites, every time my son comes to visit, he always goes to the freezer for some of it.
And if I don't have any made, I have to make some right then and there for him.
It is his favorite raw food.
It's very, very good! I am amazed how close to chocolate it tastes and smells. I have had carob things before, but at room temperature and they (to me) didn't come close to tasting chocolatey. This recipe, frozen, is excellent. I may try it next time with macadamias. I keep going to the freezer and snitching some. It will not last long.
Does this recipe work without nuts? For a smooth chocolate?

You can get it to be smoother by using either almond butter or cashew butter, then it is super smooooooooth.
Cool! I am definetly going to try it!
Thanks, Jodi

Hello RP,
I was just reading this thread and came upon the Velvet Chocolate. I went to your website hoping to find a sample recipe of some of your things. I rarely buy a cookbook that I haven't been able to make a sample of something at home first. Have you posted any of your recipes here at this site?
