Hello everyone,
I will be in Western Ma this weekend (Easthampton) visiting family. I will also be in Amhearst for a day. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions of places I should go to stock up on raw food.
I love to check out healthfood stores and farmstands.
Also, if there are any raw food events I'd love to know so I can check them out.
Thanks!!

There are tons of farm stands around Amherst. Look around and I'm sure you'll find some. You will be able to catch the tail end of lettuce/strawberry season.
There is a whole foods market in Hadley, MA that I highly recommend. It has a great bulk nut/grain/spice/dried fruit section. They also carry chia seeds in the supplement isle.
On Sunday you could check out the raw food potluck in Leverett, MA . Email me at ezo AT comcast DOT net for the address. It's a great potluck.

Hi rawstrength!
I know the Whole Foods there because I go to the Trader Joe's in that plaza. My brother's family belongs to a CSA and we will stop there. The potluck sounds great, I will email you.
Thanks for your response.

AMHERST FARMERS MARKET on saturdays. on the amherst town common. 8 am to 1 pm. amherst/northampton/hadley is kind of a hub for organic stuff so theres a fair number of organic producers at the market. check out the people with the chinese veg at the end booth. they actually have fresh goji berry juice.
