Anyone have this book? I have it at home and am now at work at the health food store. I just tracked our ice cream maker, a wedding gift that's late to arrive, and it looks like it's on my porch. I'd love to make ice cream today and am bummed that I don't have an ingredients list with me. If anyone has this book can you tell me what's in the raw peach recipe other than cashews and peaches? Thanks!!!

Use THIS recipe, but leave out the cacao and chocolate nibs:

Raw Chocolate/Chocolate Chip Ice Dream

2.5 cups of filtered water
3 handfuls of cashews - maybe 1.5 - 2 cups?
2 tablespoons raw cacao powder
2 tablespoons Alissa's coconut powder
10-12 medjool dates
1/2 - 3/4 cup of cacao nibs
Squirt of agave nectar

Put everything EXCEPT the cacao nibs into a high-speed blender (like a Vitamix-Mix) and blend until creamy. It will be thick.
Put into ice cream machine, adding the cacao nibs and use the ice cream maker as directed.

At first it's like a soft-serve ice cream, but this freezes well. It is YUM-OH!!!

But alas, I have no coconut powder nor does my HFS carry any.

Oh, you don't HAVE to add this...I've made my own coconut powder. Take a mature coconut, dehydrate the insides, then grind in a coffee grinder, voila! Powder!!!

...this is a basic ice dream recipe...you can jazz it up however...

Raweater,
Looks like a great peach ice cream recipe. Thanks. I bet strawberries could work too. Thanks for sharing.

I hear your excitement about reaching your goal "weight gain."

I've been searching the thrift stores for an ice cream maker. I can't wait to find one so I can try this out. It sounds so good :)

You can get them quite cheap on ebay, that's where I got my 2 quart cuisinart ice cream maker.

I know this girl comes to rawlucks with ice cream made in blender. I k now she uses soaked cashews, agave, Frontier flavoring of some sort and a fruit. She puts in blender, then into freezer and comes out looking like the real thing. Tastes fabulous. No Ice Cream Maker involved although I have several --some new...some old...

It comes out looking and tasting fabulous like the real STUFF.
