How hot is it? Well.... guess I sort of gave that one away! LOL

I keep my coconut oil in the pantry, and it's been so blasted hot here the last several days that both my new jar and my opened one completely liquified. (Doesn't it melt at 90 degrees?)

Does anyone know if it will resolidify, and if so, whether I can go ahead and use it. Or, should I just use it as-is, or consider refrigerating it?

I'm just not familiar with this type of oil and I know that oils can go bad.

Any suggestions?

It's just fine, no worries. Mine melts and solidifies with the weather...almost daily as it's cold at night and warm in the house during the day. It's quite edible.

Hey, thanks, Raene! So happy to know that! I was concerned I would have to throw it out. Great news!

I thought it began to melt at anything over 77 degrees F but I might be wrong.

Yes, you're right! I looked it up since I posted this. 90 degrees was a total guess... It will most likely stay melted most of the Summer here. LOL

Once you put it in the refrigerator or in a cold environment it will harden again.

Thanks! I may go ahead and do that since it's still not hardened up.
