Would anyone like to comment on what they think is the tastiest Guacamole recipe they've come across so far? I have lots of raw food uncook books and don't know which one to try. Or maybe you have a favorite recipe you'd like to share? Thanks rawbies.

I often use a half-pinch of cinnamon in my guacamole. You can't tell it's cinnamon, but you can tell something is zippy about it! I made it this way for years and it always seemed to go over well. It's a great method without the cinnamon, too.

For each avocado--
1/2 pinch of cinnamon (1 shake)
lemon juice to taste (I like a lot)
sea salt to taste
finely chopped scallion
finely chopped cilantro, if you like it (and I do!)
half a finely chopped serrano pepper or dash cayenne pepper (heat is always optional)

Mash avocado, lemon, salt, cinnamon, a few times with a potato masher to keep it chunky. Stir in pepper, scallion, and cilantro.

Serve with celery sticks (a heavenly combination!) and tomato wedges.

I like my guacamole very chunky so I dice it by hand not in the processor. Sometimes I add cumin but not most of the time.

2 avocados
2 -3 tomatoes
about 1/2 of an onion (I prefer vidalia or sweet)
lots of finely diced cilantro
I usually add a little parsley too
sea salt
lemon or lime juice to your taste (I like my lemony)
cumin to taste if you want a mexican flavor (optional)

Thanks for the recipe! I tried it out today, and wanted to point out that the 1/2 lemon was WAY too much IMHO. I'd recommend a few drops of lemon, if any.

I really like guac.

I never have a recipe I follow anymore. But here's a link that has a very good recipe. http://www.curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1639431#i

But off the top of my head here's how I usually make mine.

avacados - I prefer the smaller avacados cus I like the flavor of em more
red bell pepper
jalapenos
serranos
garlic
cilantro
roma tomato
lime or two juiced - I always use lime instead of lemon
sea salt
cayenne pepper - I have some 160k stuff I think it is. From the hfs.
onion - sometimes I'll add a little onion. sometimes not. purple onion is nice

ummmmmmmm I think that's pretty typical how I make it.

delicious.

Wow, they all sound so delicious. Guacamole is one of my favorite things.

Avos
Jalapeno. small dice
Onion, kind of small dice
Cilantro
litte salt
little lime juice

Sometimes I add tomato, smallish cubes

I tend to make mine with the avos still a little on the chunky side.

Im also not a fan of lemon in mine..so i don't put any. Lemon is basically used so that the guacamole doesn't turn brown. I eat mine way to fast for it to ever do that anyway ha haaa!!!

Mine is pretty much like everyone's

Avo
Tomato
Onion
Garlic
Salt
Touch of Cayenne if i want a little kick

I love making guacamole salad, i just throw in some kale massaged with olive oil and stir in the above ingredients....mmm yum! Think i am going to make this for lunch tomorrow

Yes, I like a very simple recipe. Mashed avo, lemon, cilantro, chopped tomato and white onion, salt.

This is very similar to mine, however no cumin and about 1/4 lemon. Super yummy. I mash my avacados up with a fork and use a garlic press. Dice up the onion and tomato on my own. I find it less messy than the blender and little wasted. I hate my avacado to be too soft, love it to be more clumpy.

I notice a disturbing lack of chillies from these recipes! Its not guac if it doesn't have a liberal helping of freshly chopped green chillies. Sometimes I even add habaneros to spice it up even more.
