So ya know how Lara bars are tasty and nutritious and easy to make yourself and easy to carry places? Wanna help me invent something similar for greens? A way to make them more delicious and much more portable than they already are?

Anyone have any ideas? I want to get experimenting!

I make a version sometimes using hemp protein and spirulina for part of the dry (nut) part. The hemp powder makes the bar a very dark green. My only problem is that they get softer than larabars so I usually feed them to my kids straight out of the fridge/freezer. Most of the flavor comes from the dried fruit so use half raisins (raw cost saver, as is using seeds for some or all of the nuts) and half dried fruit of choice. If they are not sweet enough for you, substitute dates for some or all of the raisins. Have fun!

Those are good recommendations! I hadn't thought of protein powder, which I will now try. I'd like to figure out a way to incorporate blended greens, but then I should maybe just make wraps, because it definitely seems like using vitamineral or spirulina or some dry green powder would work better for bars. I'll try to think of something to make them a little stiffer.. maybe ground seeds and a dab of chia gel?
