I have thyroid disease and have a hard time eating raw crucerifous vegetables (broccoli, spinach, etc) because they are goitergenic (causes the thyroid gland to enlarge) but they have so many health benefits. I would like to incorporate them into my diet somehow.

Are the goitergens in the pulp or the juice of the vegetable? Would juicing eliminate them?

I don't believe that juicing eliminates them. You can stick with romaine, spinach, other lettuces (except arugula), and grasses. I am discovering that I have been eating way too much of the cruciferous veg too and want to get off my thyroid pills!
