I am a 27 year old mommy that tried to be vegan in college but with all the peer pressure and so forth it never ended up working out. Back in February our chicken started smelling funny. After watching Earthlings on youtube we immediately got rid of all meat and cow's milk and switched to silk soy milk and veggie substitutes. After 6-8 weeks of that we got rid of all cheese, eggs and yogurt. We have been fully vegan now for a few months and love it! Its only hard when dining out or going to theme parks and there's barely any selections. I have read all articles on a raw vegan diet and would really like to make the change but don't know where to begin. I gotta buy the book first lol. Anyway, I hope its not too hard because I'm already re-learning how to cook, raising a 6, 3, and 1 year old and homeschooling all of them. We'll see how it all pans out, pray for us please!

Shalom,
The Holmes

Welcome~! You've taken the first step, coming here. Next? Get Alissa's book and DVD and then you'll be taking the next steps. It's easy, it's fun, and it's healing! It REALLY works. Trust me. Read my testimony!

I think your wise in getting Alissa's book and DVD first....really study them and then you can see what's best for your family. If anything, you'll be inspired to incorporate more raw foods into you already vegan lifestyle.

Welcome to the forum :) I'm also a young mom of 3 little ones... 5, 4 and 1, and homeschooling (well unschooling). All I can say is there is plenty of info on the internet to get you started so get exploring and don't be afraid to try new recipes. Some may really suck but others and probably most (because you will more than likely choose ones appealing to your palet) will really rock!!!
Smoothies are our friends, my children love them and if they aren't green they are always wonder why. Train them that green = good :)
Good luck and happy raw adventures.
