I just want to introduce myself, I just discovered this site today!

Well, my name is Jen and I'm from Sacramento, CA. I'm 21, attending Cal State University, Sacramento (my junior year); majoring in International Business, minoring in foreign languages.

I want to try the vegan/raw food diet because I have a cousin who tried it and she lost a great deal of weight, she is much healthier, and even said herself that she feels so much more energized--as if the foods she ate before were basically weighing her down and holding her back physically and mentally. She said it's like her body is cleared now.

So I am trying the 30 day challenge. The main reason is that I always feel so sluggish and I always feel so guilty about all the unhealthy junk food I eat...I'm in college so it's hard to cook up a healthy meal...I also live with my boyfriend so that makes things even more tough...But I'm here to overcome that, and succeed and see my body and health in a much more beautiful light.

If you see my pictures you will surely say "she does not need to lose 20 pounds". But basically, my normal weight, last year and forever before that...is actually 105 pounds. I have a very small frame. I put on almost 20 pounds  in the last year and half that I have been with my boyfriend...I don't fit any of my jeans so I just wear sweats always...I have not worked out consistently...I sit around alot...So this is for my health...To become my normal weight--

MY GOALS FOR 30 DAYS (or more):
1. Work out 5 days per week.
2. Be faithful on my raw food diet.
3. Lose 15 pounds.

Wish me luck!

~Jen~ :D

Loosing 15 lbs in 30 days would not normally be considered healthy. With normal diets they recomend that you loose no more than 2 lbs per week. I realise that I am using the term THEY and that I dont actually agree with most of what THEY say but are the recomendations different on the raw food. I myself am not changing to loose weight so I have not investigated this
