Note: these are not the same as dust mites and are hard to get rid of. They are under her skin.

I can could really use your help. There is a friend of mine that has been tormented by Bird Mites, the doctors are telling her it's all in here head but it is not. At night they attack and are crawling all over her and they are also in her skin.

I suggested that she try Black Walnut, Garlic she did but that did not work

Since then she has tried:
Neem Oil
Tea Tree Oil
Baby Oil
Bleach
Washing the clothes with Borax
Aloe vera gel
and probably other things I can't think of

But she is trying everything and they are not leaving. When she puts the oil on she sees them coming out of her skin but still there are more and they keep coming back.

Does anyone know of a solution? She has searched everywhere and it seems like people live with this for years and years. They are always biting her and she has bite marks.

Does anyone have any suggestions, any help would be great.

Thanks

You need to get rid of the source where the bird mites are coming from. I had them last year because of an abandoned nest under my AC. Fortunately, my infestation was minimal because I removed the nest right away and threw out the AC. I suggest putting baby powder on the rugs of the room of the infestation. This will suffocate them.

Mites do not normally burrow in the skin. They are very traumatic though. Are you positive that they are indeed bird mites and not another type of parasite?

I hope this helps!

Well her old house had a dead bird and then after the house was bomb and the birds removed she started being attacked at night. She said that she has seen them coming out of her skin. I don't know if she is super sure of the mite because the doctors don't believe her they think she is making it up so no one with a microscope has confirmed but there were dead birds in her own place.

They are now in a new home but they went with them.

I've actually read that people have dealt with this for over 10 years

YIKES!!!

Wow...okay, well, it seems the things she's been trying to do would work since mites are a type of parasite...how long did she do these treatments such as the black walnut, etc.? Also, most parasite cleanses consist of black walnut hulls, wormwood and cloves. She probably needs to do it longer and be sure to be consistent with it (not saying she wasn't).

Some good bowel cleansing as well, I'd say.

Now she probably needs a new mattress and pillow, to clear out her entire room and have her carpet treated with diatomaceous earth and some kind of spray that has essential oil of citrus peels (lemon and or orange) as those items penetrate the exoskeleton of critters and kills them and their eggs. Boric acid is said to be helpful for things such as fleas etc. too...not borax, but boric acid, they are different.

Once her carpet is treated, and this stuff is down into the fibers, it needs to be vacuumed well.

She needs to have her hair checked as well...not sure if these things may be anything like head lice and attach eggs to her hair follicles or what not, but she should at least have it checked into.

She may also want to try drinking water or juice or something with about 10-15 drops of GSE (grapefruit seed extract) in it daily to help with the internal issue as well what I suggested earlier on.

I surely hope she gets this resolved and soon! This must be scary as well as frustrating for her!

I'm no bird mite expert or anything...just thinking of things I've learned when dealing with fleas and lice in our household.

Sounds like scabies, she might want to make sure by seeing a doctor. (I'm not a dr. pusher, I swear, but sometimes it can't be avoided.)

She went to the doctors and they say it's all in her mind and that she is just thinking things but I've personally seen the bites and it causes a large circle on her.. I can't believe the doctors won't even look into it. This is why I never got help when I was sick they could not find anything or didn't want to do expensive test.

it turns out that they have Morgellons. It seem to be very hard to get rid of. It's scary that a lot of people have this.

I believe our only defense is working hard to keep up our immune system.

Morgellons is new and doctors do say "it's all in your head." Apparently from what I've read there are fibers imbeded in the skin. Some have large open sores on their bodies. I don't know if there is a cure and I don't understand how fibers can become imbeded in the skin. I've read where it may be connected to metorite showers. Don't know. Some people think this has been unleased by our government.

Yes, most doctors say that and they said that to my friend. It is very very odd, it's sad because it's getting around.

I believe they are now starting a study and starting to take this serious.

The bad part about this is that it's believed to be contagious, I think our only defense is a strong immune system.

Does she have an option to move residences? I see this will be extremely helpful to her eventually. She's living in a stressful environment which is not helping with the mite issue. Also she'll respond well to the GSE (grapefruit seed extract) as Rawkinlocs mentioned. She should start using it immediately and rip up her carpets, go with hardwood floors if they're under there. I realize money may not allow it, but it's the carpet. Get rid of the bed, all bedding and the carpet. Saw it as soon as I clicked on the thread before I read what you wrote Docsharp. I saw her smiling and throwing away her linen. Send good wishes for healing. She's gonna heal...just a matter of time and she has to believe it and not listen to the doctors.

Peace!

Crystal
