Where do you keep your dehydrator?

The 9 Tray dehydrator I have is so large, there is no where to put it. No counter space in the kitchen and no where else in the house to put it out of the way, plugged in and sound muted.

I have it right now in a cabinet as storage but there are no plugs in the cabinet so it's not a good spot for using it all the time. Where do you keep yours?

I keep mine right on top of my stove since I don't use that anymore ! It's a perfect fit.

I keep mine on one my kitchen table chairs that I don't use regularly. It is pulled out from the table up against the wall with the 9 tray on it. Not an ideal location, but is works for now. We build up from there, my roommate keeps her rice cooker on top of my dehydrator. Wish I had a raw roomie.

I had it in the basement for a while but that was not convenient enough. I couldn't keep mine in the garage. It just doesn't seem clean enough for me. Especially since I park in there and the garbage is kept there until trash day.

I have the Nesco. Most of the time it is on the kitchen counter. It fits. But... If I want to use the full number of trays, I have to put it in the garage. Won't fit under the counter fully loaded.

I was lucky enough to have enough counter space for mine but I like the idea of keeping it on the stove since you won't be using the stove. You could also remove the racks from the oven and place it inside there until you want to use it and don't use the dehydrator while it's in the oven because the heat from the dehydrator might ruin it or the oven so just use the oven for storage of it only. You could also keep it on top of the fridge, that's where I used to keep my microwave when I was in a smaller place. You could take it down on set it on the counter while you get your things ready to put in there. Once you have all of the trays loaded and ready to go then you can put the whole thing back on top of the fridge. There should be a plug for it right behind the refrigerator.

I have an eat in kitchen, the table and chairs on one side, the "kitchen" area on the other....I have an old wrought iron table of sorts that is about waist height...it is the exact size of the dehydrator.....It's in the corner of the dining area....have a pretty candle type thingy on top....works pretty good.

I now have a kitchen big enough to have two dehydrators stay on either side of where the stove used to be (now there's a cabinet there).

However, when we lived in an apt. with a TINY kitchen, I kept mine on the one little counter, my food processor and Vita-Mix shared another small counter, the knives were on another counter, and the dish drainer was on the last remaining little counter. My stove was my only "counter space" to work on when prepping food. And it worked out fine. A bit tight, but fine. HTH!:D

I bought a small, inexpensive 'craft table' and put it in a corner of the kitchen for my 9 tray Excalibur. Right size, right height. I put a pretty basket with my dish towels rolled up, on top of the D.

I do have mine on the kitchen counter, I was able to set it in a corner and it makes it look kind of decorative! But before I had this much room I kept it in the garage. I like the idea of a little side table to put it on too, if you have the room for that.

I keep mine in the stove when I'm not using it, it is a little, round, 4 tray American Harvest dehydrator.

I keep my Excaliber 9-tray right on the counter. I have a fairly long countertop of very dark green marble, so the BIG 'OL Black dehydrator isn't too offensive, but I would MUCH prefer to have to a bit more out of the way.

Mine is on top of my stove as well. I took all my burners off and covered my stove with an old table top and I have some more counter space as well.

Gosh, that is GREAT! I would LOVE to put mine on my stove as I already have a black flat-top stove, but I live with a SAD food person, so I can't hog up the kitchen (which I'm prone to do anyway...LOL)!:eek:

mine is on top of the fridge... yes it does make it higher up than I'd prefer but it's still at a height where I can take things out easily. I do have to get on a chair to set the timer though :rolleyes:

I put mine (9 tray Excalibur) on top of my stove where it stays all the time. Prevents my non-raw nephew from using the stove and leaving a mess for me to clean up. :) It also makes a point if anyone wonders if I am really raw. :D
