Who knows what to do with Taro???

I used to slice it up and fry it.... well thats just not going to work anymore is it???

Any raw ideals on preparing it??

Taro is toxic in its raw form. In order to eat it you need to either cook it or steep the taro roots in cold water overnight.

I actually found a few recipes with it grated on salads... but that didn't sound appealing....
So just soaking them gets the toxins out????:confused:

yep it is, do a quick google search a ton of info will come up. I first saw taro on "top cheif" show on Bravo. They talked about it being toxic raw so I did a little research and found it on a bunch of other websites.

I'm not sure why somone would suggest chopping it up raw, perhaps they mean to do that after its been soaked overnight.
