This morning i made Breakfast Banana Pudding w/ poppy seeds:D .
I try to keep spouted peeled almonds on hand.
1 handful of peeled almonds
2 ripe medium to large sized bananas peeled
Raw Cane sugar about 2 tsp. or 3.
Add a touch of vanilla or as much as you'd like.
I put in a small blender the above maybe a magic bullet size one.
Blended everything up so that the almonds still have some crunch and poured it out into a bowl and sprinkled on some poppy seeds.
I loved it and feel full and all sweet inside:D

Cane sugar isn't really a raw product right?

You can use agave nectar instead or another not raw Maple Syrup instead.

I thought it would be as it is dehydrated cane juice.

I actually just made myself some "pudding" for desert. Heres what I used:
1 very ripe bananna
4 tablespoons coconut cream
1 teaspoon arrowroot powder
If this isn't sweet enough you could always add some stevia powder.
I'm not 100% sure if arrowroot powder is raw or not. I'll have to research that a little more but its a great thickener.

Sounds great, can't wait to make it.
What is coconut cream and do you make it yourself?
If so how do you go about doing it?
Thanks for the recipe, i love puddings:D

You get coconut cream when you put a can of coconut milk in the fridge. The cream rises to the top and you can just scoop it off.
I'm very new to the whole raw thing so I'm not sure if canned coconut milk is raw or not.

Canned food is not raw. You can make your own coconut cream by blending mature coconut flesh with water, straining out the coconut milk, putting the coconut milk in the fridge and scooping off the cream :) .

I've got some coconut and i'm going to try that tonight.
It sounds real good and maybe blend up some avocado with the cream and some raw carob powder.
How rich would that taste:D some sweetener and vanilla, yummy, yummy.

I thought it would be as it is dehydrated cane juice.
It's not really dehydrated, it's boiled. Also any sugar is more dangerous than smoking so IMO it's quite absurd to use in raw recipes which are made for health. Agave or raw honey is far less damaging to our health than these cooked high glycemic sugars.
About 1-2 weeks ago I made a raw oatmeal with cane sugar in it and after eating just half the bowl I was already so sick and nauseous (however it's spelled) I threw out the other half as it was clear I would be very sick if I ate it all. I did the same again with even more raw honey or agave than I used cane sugar and ate it all with absolutely no negative health effects. This clearly tells me the cooked cane sugar is far from what raw agave or honey is, neither of those have ever made me sick, but even a small quantity of cane sugar or maple syrup gets me feeling absolutely terrible/sick.

I wish I was at the point where sugar made me sick. I'm seriously attempting to make a break from sugar. It seems to be the last thing that has a hold on me. :/
I bought stevia powder and have been using it in recipes. Hopefully that will help.

Why not use raw agave or even raw honey (agave is healthier) or even dates? Also, is it the refined white man made stevia powder or the natural green one?
Yesterday I was hanging out with some friends at their boathouse... Everyone was drinking but me -- I was happy and having fun as the designated driver. No problem staying raw in that situation. :)
The friend whose place it is had a good amount of raw fruits and veggies and knows I'm a "rabbit foodist." :D When they were waiting for the roast to finish, he said, "Hey Eva, can you whip us up something cool?"...
I took three avocados, three bananas, a pinch of salt, and some honey, mashed it up with a fork and made a pudding. (I would have loved to use the FP but the lid was missing, and they didn't have a blender for some sad, sad reason.) I served it in margarita glasses, drizzled with a touch of honey. Obviously agave would work for someone who chooses not to use honey.
This is similar to one of Alissa's recipes, but the honey instead of garlic worked better in this case.
They would not stop raving about how good it was! A couple of them started a conversation about it and were asking me for other recipes. :) I typically do not talk much about the raw food stuff unless people really want info, but they just couldn't get enough info after tasting something so easy, good, filling, healthy, etc...
So, it's:
-3 avocados
-3 ripe bananas
-1-2 t honey/agave to mix in, more to drizzle
-a pinch of salt
Mash it up -- which gives it a tapioca-like texture. Serve in fun clear glasses and drizzle honey/agave on top in fun pattern.

I need to go out and buy some avacados. I usually only buy them when they are on sale but it seems like so many raw food recipes use them.

A good one that I just came up with:
Key Lime Pie Pudding
1 large hass avocado
juice of 3 limes (or 6 key limes)
Raw sweetener to taste (dates, stevia, honey, agave etc.)
Tiny pinch sea salt
Blend the avocado, sea salt and lime juice with a little raw sweetener. Taste it, and add more sweetener if needed. Serve in a bowl with chopped walnuts on top or layer it with chopped nuts in a parfait glass. Or pour it into a raw pie crust and freeze. Yum!

I just whipped this together the other week and put it in popsicle molds for my children. They really like it! I didn't use exact measurements but, I'll give it my best guess. So, use your own judgement.
Strawberry Pudding/Pops
1 Avocado
2 c. Strawberries (I have been using frozen since that's what I have available)
2 T. Agave
2 tsp. Vanilla
I blended this in the blender until smooth and creamy! You can either eat it fresh or freeze into popsicles.
