Every year I'm AMAZED everytime my garden starts to break through the ground. I really have no idea what I'm doing and yet every year I'm blessed with an amazing garden....I mean it just grows like crazy. People ask me what I do and honestly all I so is till the ground, plant the seeds, water it and shazam....things start to grow. I do try to keep anything with chemicals out of the garden, I put lots of leaves on it in the fall and stay away from grass clippings because of all the stuff people put on their lawns. I also like to try new things, this year I've put some flowers in different spots. I don't know....I'm just so excited to see my garden coming up again and have prayed that it will be blessed to grow and thrive....I really think this is the key to my garden growing each year. We really do live on a beautiful earth. Hope your all enjoying your summer!!!!

It has been so cold here, I haven't put in any veggies yet. I am going today to look for plants. I hope it's not too late!

Well, I got lucky! Found four different kinds of tomato plants, four different kinds of peppers, and a couple of lemon cukes. No onions though. Apparently too late for that. I have a few sets left from last year so that will have to do. I will take up the rest of the space with cilantro and parsley.

I didn't even think of cilantro and parsley.....I think I'll go get some and what I don't use fresh could easily be dried for during the winter months. THANKS

Yes, the beautiful purple and white blooms have turned into sweet delicious peas.
Oh pure joy when i woke this morning and ran outside to see what i could see:) and what i saw was peas, peas, wonderful peas.
It was only one large one and i ran inside to show my hubby our big pea:) he looked at me as if i had lost my mind.
But i ate it and went to do some mini shopping and came home to a lot of little ones which i picked and ate along with some sprouted sunflower seeds, sliced tomatoes and mashed avocado.
I'm so happy that summer time is here.
Only thing is i didn't plant any green beans but plenty of okra:D

Bethanie I'm sure your plants love you! They want you to have their energy. Fabulous!

I like to thank them for giving me their gifts and i like to tell them they're looking beautiful.
Of course try to do when the neighbors aren't listening:) they would want me locked up.
I haven't done it this year but i'm going to start.
We've having peas everyday, i forgot to get the bean plants:( or they would be blooming now.
I also have squash and kale and collard greens.
I've got some okra and today i'm going to plant some yellow cucumbers, hope it's not too late.
How's your garden doing?
What did you plant and what is yielding for you to eat?
B.
Bethanie, I don't have my garden ....YET. I may do a community garden until I have my own space where I'm invested in beginning to grow plants and nurture them. I think it's great when people connect with them though, because most don't. They are sentient beings and I'm quite sure they grow more if you talk to them and show them love. It's far better than going to the grocery store to buy produce but of course, if you can't go out in your backyard and pick your produce you make due, like I do, and it's all good!
I love talking to plants and kissing them and I KNOW they feel the love! They give me love so why not shower it on them. :D
