Hi, I am Danielle in Colorado and I stay home with my six children. We are a Christian/Messianic family and also home/unschool my children. I have been studying the raw food lifestyle for awhile trying different recipes. My children have fun and sometimes give funny faces when trying raw recipes with me.
It's a journey and since I know this is the best way to get your nutrients I am not giving up trying to add more raw foods everyday.
I bought Alissa's book and DVD; the kids and me are watching it and have made the recipes in week one. But then I got side tracked looking for car seats and potty training stuff for the kids and it went out the window for awhile...Ok so now I am back and we are going to start this week with the four week plan which I will tweek for the kids if I know they like something better.
I will be the only one that will be doing 100% raw for 30 days and my children will be transitioning more slowly.
I love the fact I can eat lots at the beginning so I stay full, that really is the key as before when I have tried to do this I would starve and not have a plan of what to make. It only works it you have all the food and recipes and plan before hand.
I really love watching youtube videos of Alissa, David Wolfe, Shazzie, Karen Knowler...and Storm and Jinjee with The Garden Diet I also have their documentary. I have learned lots from all of you and would love to overcome and have the freedom of good health all of you talk about.
Ok this is long but this is my BIG Intro! I would like to do before and after photos too.
So Before starting now these are my problems that I would like to overcome.
My last two children were twins and I need to get my tummy in shape, hips, buttock, legs, oh lets just say I want to look tonned on the outside as well as the inside. But I know I need to start on the inside out first as to why I am starting the raw foods. But my twins are now 15 months and I am still brestfeeding them.
Goals:
Age:33 1/2
Weight: 135.5
Height 5 ft. 3in.
Goal Weight: 122
Breastfeeding weight 125-128
It's not just about loosing weight but getting my body healthy and tonned in all the right places. I am tired all the time, my hair is still sheading and thinning, some seems to be growing back, and starting to turn grey, I am noticing lines around my eyes. Some people think if you are thin or average looking you are healthy. I don't think that's true, for example my husband can eat anything and not gain much weight same is pretty true about me but my metabolisim is slowing down.
So for me this is about glowing and shinning in that freedom of health. And this is also not just about food for me but also my spiritual relationship with God learning to live in freedom through Him.
