No kidding. Unless GAP has wrong sizing my last few pairs of pants, yes below my flabby stomach and closing the pants are 6 and think one is a 5. I never was this size. Talk about size 10-12 yes, maybe 14 too, but never 6 or 5. These sit more on hips so maybe that is the answer. My legs have gotten nice and slender with all the exercise training I paid for which I am now doing on own (2 months solo). Since legs are very slender it helps me get into these sizes. These "used" by others, new by me pants look and feel great. They feel so sofy and wrinkly! In pants suits which hits the waist, think it's been 8 as my waist is thick. Above 8 I won't buy.
Workouts continue to be 5-6 days weekly. This may be my job with appearance benefits. Hey I am still blooming, but late in the career world of professional speaking, but moving forward.
I'm shocked at the sizes and hope this encourages you all. I still have not been on the scale for about a month and need to do that. I'm trying to do it before I eat in the AM, but so far haven't been great about rushing over to use digital at the club. No I don't want scale here.
Doing yoga a few times a week besides my weight training about 5 days week, sometimes 6.
Just want to encourage you the new number can be on the way. Get exercising and watch the foods. I do eat several almonds daily.

Vegan,
Thanks. Yes way cool.
People who are part of the AARP generation, over the hill at 50, should never buy into that they can't or it's harder to lose weight. Yes, it is if you don't do anything! I'm at the gym lifting weights like my younger friends are--actually kids who can be my kids or sometimes grandkids.

I can fit Gap size 4's but not 4 in any other brand:o --I think they are guilty of vanity sizing but also have very flattering cuts! (long and lean!!!)
way to go, you are an inspiration

If Gap wants to fake me and i can be comfortable in a "tiny" size, I'm ready to hunt for their used pants at thrift store. Thanks for sharing the size 4 experience. Wow, a 4. I thought 5 was small, but hey, I don't think I will make it to 4 even if Gap tries hard.
Sam,
Thanks for your kind words and sharing. I'm interested in growing and maybe Gap can help me look tall and slender. Why not ask?

Rawlove,
It's almost like having a dream. Even if Gap is making a mistake with their sizing, I'm happy it says 5. Yeah and thanks for your kind words.

Soicy, Ran Singer and all,
It is so much fun sharing and not bragging about our accomplishments whether they be tiny or large they are called "accomplishments." Every ounce lost or for some "gained" is great news to share. Thanks for your words of ENcouraging as they are usually the only ones I get besides myself giving it to ME. People, no judgment, are sometimes slow to acknowledge others so the lesson is "acknowledge yourself" in every milestone as it's closer to your desires. If you fall, dust yourself off and get back up again even stronger!!
Love to you all. Now it's time to imagine a group hug. Ready, aim, HUG!
love,

Yeah for you! I don't think GAP sizing is bigger than most. I am a size 4 in the GAP and most other brands as well. I wear a Misses 4 and a Junior's size 7. I am sure it has to do with all the weight lifting and exercising you are doing. You are making progress! Be PROUD!:)
