Does anyone have one they may be looking to get rid of...or know where I could find one on the cheap?

I found a refurbished one at the vitamix website. It wasn't "cheap" but it was cheaper than full price. Maybe you could look at craigslist and see if someone in your area is selling one. I LOVE mine! It was a splurge for me and I haven't regretted it. Best wishes!

You can get a used old school one that has extra cool points on ebay for $100 or so with no problem. Just look up VitaMix 3600. The new ones are on there too, though. It's worth checking out ebay if you have not already. Good stuff. These things last forever -- and should you later choose to get a new one, VM will give you a $75 credit for an old one!
