How do you soak oat groats? I did a search, but couldn't find anything with specific instructions. Do you put them in a jar and cover with water? In a bowl? How much water? Does it have to go in the fridge? Do you have to rinse them? How often?

thanks

I soak mine in a bowl or jar on my countertop. I try to rinse all of my soak/sprouting items at least twice daily.

I soak them for 4-6 hours during the day, or overnight. Then rinse a.m. and p.m. that day and then next, using them about 48 hours later. They can be put into fridge after last rinse, and mine last without spoiling at least 3 days, but by then they're gone, so I don't know how much longer they'd be good.
