View Full Version : I really want to do a juice feast...

I think I'm ready to do it. I know people say, "Don't start unless you intend to finish," but what harm have you really done if you don't finish? You won't be any worse off.
Anyhoo, I just wanted your opinion: a 92 day juice feast seems a little daunting for my first fast. What about cutting it in half? A 46 day juice feast?? That seems more doable for me at this moment. What do you all think??

I think even if you decide you are only going to do 3 days or a week or 21 days.................whatever you decide you think you can accomplish and go for it is absolutely Great!
I'm going to do a GS feast for 3 days next week. Starting on Monday! Unless I start tomorrow. If I do longer then 3 days then great!

And another question: is it necessary to drink a quart of water in the morning when you're juice feasting? Also, I have easy access to lemons but is the MSM powder they recommend on juicefeasting.com really necessary? I don't really have the funds right now. TIA

oops hit reply too quick LOL
i say go for whatever you feel is doable. my first juice feasts were 8 or 9 days... never longer. this is the longest one i've done and will probably be the longest one i'll do... but you never know. i am kinda addicted to feasting.

I did 45 days in the march stint.. I couldnt drink enough and for me I just couldnt continue
Now.. I feel better equipped but.. kind of not sure if I should commit again or what not. After my bday think I will be taking it one day at a time, but for sure..I feel better on juice than anything else..just awesome :D
I did use the MSM last time.. but dont feel you cant do it without..you certainly can. It makes my stomach a bit funny, so I am just using juice at the mo!

i think people say that you shouldn't start unless you intend to finish for two reasons. first, many people end fasts/feasts badly when they're broken early and that is really hard on your body - since it's in a state of detox and your cells are cleaner, making less than great food choices has a bigger impact. the second reason is that no matter when you decide to break the feast it's really important for you to feel good about the time you've spent feasting. a lot of times when people end earlier than intended they get down on themselves.
i think you can and should do whatever feels right to you. :) come join us on the juice feasting thread.
