Hey Islesgirl~
I still drink warm tea everyday, do you have any? Or maybe some miso soup?
What about some warming spices - like ginger or cayenne?
How about a nice warm bath to relax you~

monk, I just did a few dishes and marinated something for my husband's dinner tomorrow and that warmed me up - nothing liike a bit of work to get the juices flowing. But I'm off to have a shower - still to stiff and heavy to get in and out of a bath. eek! Then maybe some miso soup if I can find a recipe. I'd so like tea but it will increase the chances of my being up again most of the night. Thanks for the ideas. I saw your pics, btw. I cannot imagine the fear that must have gripped all of you there. I really am glad the water stopped rising - but 2-3 inches from your door?! That was just too close!

I put grated carrot and scallions in a nice soup mug along with braggs and miso and warm water and it is so good - now I have only had a little of it -so I am off to finish it. I am already warm from doing dishes, showering and now I will get the "soother" - my soup, for which I have you to thank.:D

I boil a pot of water and throw in a handful of herbs (usually rosemary is my favorite) and then remove from the stove and put my face over it with a towel over my head. Sorta like a tent. Then inhale/exhale deeply every few minutes for as long as you can stand it. I hate being cold and this steamy facial warms me right up and is so relaxing. :)

grab a spoon... put on some honey... place in mouth.
you'll warm up nicely!
I like to boil water, steep a chunk of ginger and add honey, lemon, and cayenne.
I also like to make almond milk (adding warm water instead of cold), strain, sweeten and add chai spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, etc.

Usually when I get cold it's mainly due to not being active at that particular moment. So I get up and start doing physical work or small exercises to generate heat from my cells burning up energy. I usually do that if it's already night time but if it's still daylight outside then go grab some sun—it always feels great! :D

Bragg's is not really raw, is made from soy, and contains naturally occurring MSG, which triggers my migraines just the same as any other soy product.
