hi there,
my name is kathy, or people also call me bubbles :) i made a posting just now in the raw food section and explained why i am a newbie.
basically, i've been interspersing vegetable, fruit diet, with some starch, and periodic fasting. but i find that while i love fasting while i'm on it, when i get off it, i don't eat too well. i mostly eat chocolate related foods, sweets, starch, and almost ALWAYS overeat, and get sour stomach on nearly a daily basis! it's really pretty silly, but somehow, my whole energy system is more active/restless when i'm eating (even if it's just fruits, etc), and i wind up going overboard.
while i'd like to be continuous with fasting, i'd like to transition my eating periods to more raw foods. i think currently, i'm on 50% raw; it's a bit unusual, but i actually like to microwave my fruit (like mango, banana, etc), because it's softer.
anyway, i also just think this is a cool community and want to participate/contribute.
tx you and take care,
kathy
