So Excited!!!!

I'm going to meet Valya Boutenko at the Leverett, MA rawluck tonight. She's such an inspiration to me and it will be fun to meet another young person interested in raw foods. Basically, I'm thrilled. :D So I just had to share.

Valya was fabulous and she spoke very well. She has such a beautiful glow about her. There weren't many people at the potluck, so I really got to meet her up close and personal. We talked about her current project, which is making a film about raw children, and I asked her how she coped socially with raw as a child/teen. We also talked about foraging and her experiences with hiking the pacific crest.
The only bummer is that I forgot to bring my copy of Green for Life for her to sign! I was tempted to buy another copy at the potluck so she could sign it, but I didn't.
All in all, I had a great time. Also, I got asked to write an article about the event for the Raw New England Community Newsletter, and I had my picture taken with Valya in front of a big tray of sprouts. How cool is that? :D

Wow, that's really great.

I saw her last fall with her mom, at the Waltham meetup. They both spoke and I was very impressed with Valya's presence.

She video interviewed me but I didn't make it into her video. (But I did get a free copy!)

You're both so lovely. You look so petite, Raw Strength. I met Valya and remember has as being slim and not so tall. I could not be remembering correctly. I'm glad you enjoyed the potluck.
