I can't stand it when things like this happen. Yes, they're not raw, but it really brings us down as vegans.

The condition is caused by a lack of vitamin D,
Sounds to me the girl didn't get enough sunshine.

...among other things. We're not hearing the WHOLE story, I'd bet a body part on that. I guarantee there are underlying issue here. It's not just the vegan diet.

I personally don't care what others think, write, talk, (etc.) about my way of eating. I KNOW what works for me and I double dawg dare ANY medical professional to prove that I'm harming myself! They can't. Their meds didn't help me - ever. Eating healthy has!!!

wow. there could be just as many articles like those on any type of diet really. heck. just walk into a hospital. i'm sure a majority of the people there follow the standard food pyramid. but would the writer focus solely on a person's diet? probably not. http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q94/SHOE_tutorials/current%20emo/blush.gif

what's really bad is i used to believe everything i read coming from books, newspapers, t.v., etc.... now i'm looking into stuff like "who" is the author of whatever i'm reading, who is sponsoring the media, etc.... http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q94/SHOE_tutorials/current%20emo/thlaugh.gif

That's just a blog. Not a news article. I do not read blogs for the most part. I find them rather indulgent.

I don't care if people do it. I'm just not into reading most of that stuff. But I would also not get bent out of shape if I read something on a blog because it isn't necessarily news and just the opinion of the blogger.

.... as is "news". It's always skewed to make it sensational, one-sided and get people excited. "News" is not really "new"... it's just trash. I'd rather read someone's opinion and experiences (which is mostly what's posted here) than a newspaper. At least we may know where it's/they are coming from.

I don't think there is anything wrong with giving children raw foods/minus meat and dairy. I don't know a lot about the vegan diet, but I have seen the results of a SAD for children show up in a classroom. I am a former school teacher. It affects their development and thinking patterns. Not to metion their weight. Babies need so much nutrition when developing and when they grow. I think one needs to do a lot of reading/coupled with much wisdom before doing it.
There are alot of women out there that will give their children anything.
What's with pregnant mother's drinking Mt. Dew? Like that not's harmful.

Look at Storm and Jinjee's children. They are beautiful, healthy, raw, LIVING children.

they're not interested about writing an article on RAW healthy children as long as it doesn't coincide with their beliefs. http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q94/SHOE_tutorials/current%20emo/thlaugh.gif

but man, really, that family is so healthy! i think i saw a vid. of them climbing a mountain (with no safety gear on! Mind you!), and i am so jealous! http://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q94/SHOE_tutorials/current%20emo/pissed.gifhttp://i134.photobucket.com/albums/q94/SHOE_tutorials/current%20emo/thtongue-1.gif

Oh, don't be jealous. I learned that years ago. Talk about a waste of good energy. Jealousy is a stupid emotion. Sorry, but it is. Learn from them!!! I look at Storm (might-tee fine eye candy that man is) and Jinjee, gorgeous, beautiful picture of health and then those beautiful children - WHOA!
I admire them. They make me smile!!!
