The concept of Couchsurfing is simple, people can sign up on www.couchsurfing.com and either search for, or supply a couch. Travellers can then search for couches in the area they plan to go to, take contact directly to the couchowner and borrow the couch as a place to sleep for as long as the host should chose to accept. It is not only a free way to travel, it is also a great way of meeting people and exchange ideas!
It bega for us in January when my mate and I decided in the spur of the moment to take some for odd days out in London to watch Cirque du Soleil's Varekai. The tickets was paid by my parents as a christmas present so that left only the actual stay and the air fare. When all was paid and almost planned we started looking into the prices for hotels and hostels and found it to be more than we could possibly afford. Then I remembered Couchsurfing and we signed up for it. The result was a free couch in one of the coolest "families" I have ever met, they were so nice!
Following we have hosted a small handful of people and it have been great, there is so much to share of ideas and gratitude and it is a joy to be able to help out in such an easy and fun way! I just thought I would share in case anyone in here would feel like, it could be a way to spread inspiration concerning raw as well :p A good smoothie does the trick!
