I just made the best Ice Cream last night! The kids liked it better than the store bought kind.
2 frozen bananas
Small handfull cashews
Dash vanilla
4 soaked dates (I used medjool but any will do)
Agave to taste
Nutmeg optional
Whiz all in food processer. I found I had to add a bit of water to smooth it all out. Enjoy! :D

Yes! I love this recipe! It has helped me stay raw since Ice Cream was a huge SAD love for me.
Here's what I do:
(I use this as a base...and it's great stand-alone)
2 froz. bananas
approx. 1/4 cup water
1 tsp vanilla
1 Tblsp. Almond Butter (it adds a nice flavor)
Agave to taste
(I don't always have dates, and I'm sure yours was better)
Then I add things like, cacao powder, fresh or froz. berries or peaches.
Now if I could find a RAW whipped cream recipe that I like. (Haven't found one that is tasty to me yet.)
Thanks for sharing your recipe!!! Glad your kids like it so much. Gosh, it's just sooooo much better for them!

Thank you! Just the inspiration I needed today. Made it for a very special lunch. Threw in a few macadamias for a little crunch. YUMMMMMM!

Homemade raw ice cream is so-o yummy, and so-o easy to whip up - I'm a huge fan of this. Sometimes I use a few cashews, often not. Shredded coconut is great in this too, especially if you are doing a banana/mango, banana/cherry, or banana/pineapple combo. I usually use twice as much banana as other fruit, and make enough for just one serving, as I'm the only one in my household of two that eats this. Husband still prefers regular ice cream!

I added the cocoa tonight- it was the bomb!! I'll bet a little coconut oil thrown in would be good too.

Wow! Thank you so much Marin Mom for sharing your yummy, easy ice cream recipe. And thanks to all of you others who added your ice creams to this thread. This will be so much easier than doing it with my juicer. Guess what we're having for dessert tonight.:)
