I am getting ready to cleanse and a friend wants to join me.
He's a big guy and would like to loose 20 lbs. 2 years ago we did the MC but he lost too much muscle. This time he wants to cleanse juicing or green smoothies. I need some recipe suggestions and advise about cleansing and maintaining muscle.

how long did he do a MC for to lose muscle? i've read it takes more than 30 days of fasting to start using the protein from your muscle.
anyway, a green smoothie feast is a wonderfully gentle way to cleanse!
a juice feast is a little more intense with detox.
so... does he want to detox more aggressively or more gently?
either way he'll probably release the 20 pounds in about 15 days.

He did the MC for 14 days.
I never lose muscle during the MC but he claims he did.
He wants to detox and can handle the more aggressive cleanse. I need some recopies I know I can look them up but I want to post and chat here :)
I coach people through the MC. It's not a job it just happens 6 times so far.
