I have been doing a lot of You tube watching lately about raw foodie recipes.
I have seen that some people soak all their nuts due to toxins that need to be released, but others don't soak their nuts.
I am wondering what is actually the best? I am confused at this point.
Anyone know?
In the past I've had some indigestion and bloating, just not felt too hot after having nuts... BUT when I started soaking ALL of my nuts, this was not the case. It makes a huge difference to me, as I have historically had a lot of digestive issues -- which are perfectly fine now as long as I stay raw, soak my nuts, and don't get tooooo crazy with really bad food combinations.
So -- for me -- it's VITAL to soak my nuts whenever possible.
In some recipes, nuts are not soaked because of texture issues. In many cases, I have soaked them anyways to find the recipe still comes out well. But I have to be really careful to get rid of as much liquid as possible. (But I haven't tried dehydrating. Seems like too much of a fuss since it's OK without it.)
