I let my wheat berry sprouts go too long (or did I?) They are greenish and about 1/2 inch long. Can I make recipes with them still? And which would you suggest?
Thank you!=)

Hi Thick,
The only thing I could think of for the wheat berries is creating Alissa's amazing Chili recipe with them. Are they soft when you chew them or still hard?

They are soft, but taste a bit like wheatgrass.. Thank you so much for replying--as I'm not even sure they are "safe" to eat or indigestible.
I'll look up the chili recipe--sounds like I could make it spicy enough to cover up the strong flavor. Or do I like that flavor, hmm..
I've just never seen wheatberry sprouts before. When I made alfalfa and sunflower--I knew what I was looking for in the sprouting process--I just let them go looking for the green..I found it=)

Wheat berries sprouted are soft, and they are safe to eat....but in my opinion, they just don't taste very nice.
